The Street of Shame print was much much better, another reason I'm bummed for you that you hadda miss it. Seems like you got some good stuff out of the Utamaro viewing despite the image-quality-to-be-desired, though.Brian Darrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17693169310367670898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8347718.post-67291506817959543312010-06-28T18:17:24.536-07:002010-06-28T18:17:24.536-07:00Rob: it's just so damn clunky in every single ...Rob: it's just so damn clunky in every single aspect I can't get generous.

Jordany: Thanks for reading. It's definitely a fill-you-up finale, eh? You can find a lot of the John Adams music around the internet but, for quick reference, that "main theme" used at the start and (I believe) at the end is called "The Chairman Dances" and it's about Mao from an opera called _Nixon in China_. I feel similarly. The tense and then ethereal ending, with it's focus on facial expressions, had such an impression on me that I was dumbfounded and as I left Landmark Sunshine; I was glowing and felt like I was floating. No film has had that affect on me for a while! The score by John Adams was magnificent.Jordanynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8347718.post-61782236524818390812010-06-28T08:46:24.808-07:002010-06-28T08:46:24.808-07:00I didn't see it until just a few years ago, bu...I didn't see it until just a few years ago, but as an adult I've always been on the Tron adoration bandwagon. Both the characters and viewers are inside the computer-- things to come, baby. Like Total Recall, a metaphor for the movie experience at large. It isn't great per se, but I love it.
